Completing this registration and the payment step will allow your course administrator Mark Hughes, MBA, BSN, RN and your Instructor Michele Hughes, B.S., M.Ed. to prepare your American Heart Association (AHA) certification eCard and provide it to you during the class via email from eCards@heart.org. You will receive study materials upon registration and payment for this AHA certification course.

Heartsaver® First Aid CPR AED
with Adult, Child, Infant Skills
Our American Heart Association (AHA) certification cards are accepted throughout the United States by colleges, universities, hospitals, and workplaces. The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course trains participants to provide first aid, CPR, and use an automated external defibrillator (AED) in a safe, timely, and effective manner. Reflects science and education from the American Heart Association Guidelines Update for CPR and Emergency Cardiovascular Care (ECC).
Who should take this course?
The AHA’s Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course is designed for anyone with little or no medical training who needs a course completion card for their job, regulatory (e.g., OSHA), or other requirements, or anyone who wants to be prepared for an emergency in any setting.

BOAT CAPTAINS & MERCHANT MARINES
The US Coast Guard (USCG) has approved the American Heart Association's Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED Course as meeting the USCG Elementary First Aid* training requirements of:
- Elementary First Aid per STCW Code Table A-VI/1-3;
- Elementary First Aid per 46 CFR 11.302(a)(3) and 46 CFR 12.602(a)(3);
- The first aid and CPR training requirements of 46 CFR 11.201(i)(1)
*All elective sections of Heartsaver First Aid with CPR AED (AMERHA-216) will be given.
We will provide this certificate to any maritime personnel that require the certificate to accompany their AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED course completion card upon successful completion of the course with all options completed and written exam.

Textbook(s): It is highly recommended you have access to the most up-to-date AHA Heartsaver First Aid CPR AED student workbook for the class you are taking that is the newest version with the current AHA guidelines being taught. You are encouraged to purchase the eBook from us now when completing your registration.

The American Heart Association strongly promotes knowledge and proficiency in all AHA courses and has developed instructional materials for this purpose. Use of these materials in an educational course does not represent course sponsorship by the AHA. Any fees charged for such a course, except for a portion of fees needed for AHA course materials, do not represent income to the AHA.
Reschedule and Cancellation Policy
Scheduling: If a scheduling conflict should occur, participant(s) will be given a credit (no refund(s) will be given) that is valid for 30 days this includes all Certification Classes scheduled through Go Life Savers, LLC and applies to all courses that we teach. In other words, all courses and sessions are included. Should the participant(s) reschedule two times and not show up for the 3rd scheduled course, the participant will forfeit the payment for the course at that time. At which time, the registrant would simply need to repay to participate in another class.
